The Intel Hardware Accelerated Execution Manager (Intel® HAXM) is a hardware-assisted virtualization engine (hypervisor) that uses Intel Virtualization Technology (Intel® VT) to speed up Android app emulation on a host machine. In combination with Android x86 emulator images provided by Intel and the official Android SDK Manager, HAXM allows for faster Android emulation on Intel VT enabled systems.
The following platforms are supported by the Intel HAXM:
- Microsoft Windows*
Windows 8 (32/64-bit), Windows 7 (32/64-bit), Windows Vista* (32/64-bit), Windows XP (32-bit only)

Hi,
Since I updated to Mac OS X 10.8.2 today, whenever I start my Android emulator using HAX, I get a kernel panic.
I have turned off HAX for now, and it's working - but a whole lot slower. Don't know if you guys should release an update, or Apple, but just letting you (and Apple) know.
Kind regards,
Ronald Leppink
Stoped working on Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2
The system crash when trying to start the emulator.
me too!
i updated to Mac OSX 10.8.2 today...the system crash when trying to start the emulator using HAX ... (intel x86..)
please help me! TT
I would like to confirm the reports that this is no longer working for OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2, causing a kernel panic.
I also started getting system crashes with 10.8.2 whenever I run an x86 system image with HAXM installed. With HAXM uninstalled it works but much slower.
Same problem here
Yeah, same goes here on 10.8.2 64b MacBook Air '12
Me too, kernel panic and auto-reboot when launching Android emulator.
I have the same problem. Kernel panic everytime on Mac OSX 10.8.2 - when will there be an update?
Anyone found a bypass? Emulation without it is very very slow :-(
Hello Intel? Anybody home?
You do realize this is a huge issue for Android devs, no?
