The Intel Hardware Accelerated Execution Manager (Intel® HAXM) is a hardware-assisted virtualization engine (hypervisor) that uses Intel Virtualization Technology (Intel® VT) to speed up Android app emulation on a host machine. In combination with Android x86 emulator images provided by Intel and the official Android SDK Manager, HAXM allows for faster Android emulation on Intel VT enabled systems.
The following platforms are supported by the Intel HAXM:
- Microsoft Windows*
Windows 8 (32/64-bit), Windows 7 (32/64-bit), Windows Vista* (32/64-bit), Windows XP (32-bit only)

Hi all, we're looking in to it, trying to find out the source of the problem. Will come back to you asap.
Hi all, we've been running several tests and have not found any issues on Mountain Lion. We tested JB, ICS and GB with HAXM R1 and R2 and experienced no crashes or slow performance.
Would you send us additional information to help troubleshoot further? It would help to know the computer HW being used, logs, sequence of upgrade/installation and the version of the Android SDK, please?
Thanks a lot. We're still investigating so that information would be very useful.

I am still getting kernel panic when open android emulator with haxm on osx10.8.2 with intel ivy bridge.
Hope you guys can fix it soon as HAXM is the only thing that makes the android emulator somewhat useable
Waiting for the haxm update with the kernel panic fix.
