Crash of Intel Driver on Intel X3100 mobile graphic device in DirectX10.

Most application I created (and even some dx10 application available on the net) crash the intel driver (and if leaved alone, the whole system after 5 crash) with either the last (1666) and the previous driver available from Intel website. Are we going to get a fix for this problem (that i've heard from lots of people) or its gonna be forgotten without any kind of help?
There is a way to get a log of the crash to send information to you about it? Someone know WHAT cause the crash and how to circumvent it (i'm willing to make special code to support Intel card :P)?

Please note that the same applications works perfectly fine on nVidia or Ati cards.

Help on QueryPerformanceFrequency()

Hi all, this is my first post. Sorry if i'm asking some noob questions. I posted this help in Atom developer forum, but they refer me here. First of all, SORRY if i posted on the wrong forum.

Currently i'm working on some visual embedded system which is using Atom Z530 (1.6GHz)

My idea was to test the execution time of my algorithm on this platform.
I used the QueryPerformanceFrequency() function in "windows.h" to get the clock frequency counter for high precision.

I did a trail on a Dual Core 3.6GHz and this Atom.
Here are the results
1) 360019000 ~ 3.6GHz for the Dual core.
2.) 3579545 ~ 3.5MHz for the Atom Z530.

I understand that Atom has this SpeedStep technology. But i disabled it in BOIS and set it to use the Maximum CPU. But i still get same frequency.
May i know what am i missing out?

I'm using Visual studio 2005 pro, Windows XP Sp3

Thanks in advance!!
Jeremy

DXVA - 0x887600ff Error returned by IAMVideoAccelerator::Execute()

I am developing Directx Video Acceleration(DXVA 1.0) based AVC Decoder.
I have Intel US15W Embedded Graphics Display adapter. This Display adapter
has Intel GMA 500. I am having Windows XP on my system.

Please correct me If I am wrong that, Intel GMA 500 doesn't support "DXVA_Slice_H264_Short".
I am calling BeginFrame(), sending DxVA buffers using Execute() and then calling EndFrame().
All these fucntion calls return S_OK.

But when I call Execute() to check the status of the frame, by passing "DXVA_Status_H264" buffer,
it returns error code "0x887600ff". Can you please tell me why this error is coming?

Also please let me know, if there any documents provided by Intel for DxVA.
I got hold of "h264_AVC_X4500_Acceration_esardell.pdf". But this is for G45/GM45 chipsets.
Can I use this document for Developing AVC DXVA decoder on GMA 500 chipset also?
Please let me know if any additional information is required. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Copying of structures

Hi, I am using legacy fortran code and it seems that TYPE structures are copied in many places using the scheme struct1=struct2. Then pointers are deallocated from struct1 (which are really pointers or copies of pointers of struct2). My question is, is struct1 copied I would think it is just pointed to struct2. This scheme has worked for many years but when calling the fortran dll from c#, i many times seems to get a Attempted to Read or Write Protected Memory error. Any help or advice is appreciated.
Jeremy

About GMA 500 Driver Development

I have a simple question: will the driver for the GMA500 support WDDM 1.1? The hardware is DX10.1 capable, but lacks driver support. Vista GMA500 driver is not compatible with Win7, using it leads to a lot of bsod in many operations. With wddm 1.1 memory usage for the dwm hopefully will be reduced, and maybe will get a better 2d acceleration, useful for flash apps. As a last chance, if wddm 1.1 support is not planned, will wddm 1.0 Vista driver be patched to work well under Win7?
Davide Bergamini
