    Both Directions?

    Do we have to look for matches in both directions?

    Database=
    GTCCTG

    If we are looking for GTC is that one match at 0
    or two matches one at 0 and one at 3?

    That's true.  Such a stipulation would have been mentioned in the problem statement.

    Also, you don't have to look for or match the anti-sense strand either.
