Do we need to output empty lines as "()"? For example, "dimentions 2x2 (2) ()"? Or we may skip them"dimentions 2x2 (2)"?

my understanding is that a group is needed only where there is a "change" in the rectangle configuration on a given horizontal line. An empty group implies no change and so would be redundant.
In the example there is no change - the 2x2 rectangle occupies all of the 2x2 space available, so (2) is sufficient.
