Problems installing Intel C v 11 on Windows 2003 with VS 2005 and VS 2008

Subject : trying to install Intel v11 compilers - errors

Current status:

OS: windows server 2003

Visual studio 2005 with intel 10.1 compilers integrated

Visual studio 2008

trying to install Intel 11 compilers with integration into visual studio 8 only. the installation fails during package 7 with the following error (snipped from the install log)

Issues with 1920x1080p resolution on 945GM (GMA950)

Hi. I have a question about connecting my laptop to my external lcd (1920x1080p). When the laptop is connected to the display, I get an image on the lcd when I boot up but the image disappears shortly after the windows log-in screen appears. After that, I cannot get any images on my external lcd but I do get an image on the laptop screen. I suspect it may be an issue wih the Intel GMA 950 so want to post here. I did the mon.info thing but don't know how to get the EDID as well as how to make changes to the inf file. Can someone please let me know the EDID and give me a detailed descriptioin of what to do in the inf file as well as which inf file I have to change. I've been struggling with this for weeks so any help would be very much appreciated. Many thanks in advance! Below is my info.

Hi, I'm using Intel 945G and by default my resolution is 1024x768.

What I need is to modify the igxp32.inf to start with 800x600.

Where in the file can I make this change to stick to this resolution by default?

Celeron T3000 and GMA4500MHD

Hello,

I'm considering buying a laptop with a Celeron T3000 dual core processor and GMA4500MHD graphics. Will these specs be enough to play 720p video perfecly smoothly? what about 1080p?

Also, the laptop has an HDMI out, does the GMA4500MHD support HDMI audio so that I can plug it into my HDTV and get picture and audio using the same cable?

Any further news on this? I've just installed Windows 7 on Dell Latitude X1 (just over three years old) and it's ended up with the crappy VGA drivers. What's weird is that Vista recognised the graphics card and installed a better driver. So why step backwards with Windows 7?

Display Corruption using Dell E207WFP, 845G graphics chipset, when upgrading from Fedora FC9 to FC11 (linux)

Notably Dell Dimension 2400 w/ 845G graphics chipset and e207wfp Dell LCD display.

Problem:

Updating from FC9 to FC11. Display worked fine in FC9 at a lower resolution, but forgot which tweaks I did to make it so. Now display works OK even at a higher-resolution (with xrandr -s 1680x1050 in my .bashrc) except for a couple of cases. However, corruptions occur in all resolutions. The display sometimes becomes corrupt when certain programs run. Most notably when any video is played with mplayer, facebook, or youtube and most graphic programs (gThumb, etc), but less noticeable when excel (using codeweavers wine) runs. It might be of interest when viewing .jpg files with gwenview there is no corruption. Also all instances of Flash displaying causes corruption of display whether in a browser or stand alone with gnash. However, GL looks like it works (glxgears works fine) and mplayer -vo gl works also with all videos, but pretty slow. See screen captures, xorg.conf, and Xorg.0.log.

Tried:

As per suggestions from others I have done the following:

Made sure that there are no graphics drivers being overwritten or residual drivers by doing a:

rpm -Va

with no apparent discrepancies.

Disabled DRI in the xorg.conf with no apparent change with corruption.

Determined the Modeline for my display and put it in xorg.conf with no change.

Checked all rpms for fc9 and either updated to fc11 or removed them and resolved resulting inconsistencies.

Searched the forum for such like problems. A lot of problems with this display but none that fit mine.

Custom Resolution on internal Notebook Display

Hi,

on my acer 1810t i like to use a custom resolution on the notebook display, how can i do this ? (win7)

with DTD Calculator i can insert DTD for the monitor and on external display it works but why i cant use this resolutions on the internal LCD ???

FOR gaming the SU3500/4500mhd ist to slow for 1366x768. better for gaming are resolutions like 1024x567 ot 960x540 or 848x480
in dependence of the game requirements

is it possible?

PLEASE HELP - Unable to connect new Vizio monitor to Lenovo T43 Intel 915GM/GMS video card

I've got a Lenovo T43 that's using an intel 915GM/GMS, 910GML video card and just bought a new 26" Vizio VMM26F201 monitor to connect to it. My first issue is that I can't see anything on the monitor when connecting using a dvi cable. The other problem is that i can only get it to work when connected through VGA, BUT I'm only able to see it in 1600x120 or 2048x1536 resolution. 1920x1200 is the resolution I'm looking for and the option is not available.

Any assistance will be much appreciated! Thanks!
