Abstract
This paper provides an overview of Intel’s laptop platform power consumption on Windows Vista*. It includes recommendations to OEM’s and application developers on how to optimize their software for power efficient mobile experience. The analyses include the new Windows Vista* power management API's, power schemes, case studies and various aspects in energy consumption of the mobile platform components.
