During day three at Mobile World Congress we had the opportunity to talk to one of the Sales Manager of Scalado about their moblin based photo browser tool Photoflow. As Jim Thomas was telling us during our chat users can browse through high-resolution pictures on a netbook or MID very quickly. And decoding of huge data isn't an issue for Photoflow either.
If you talk about netbooks and 3D gaming there isn't a lot of excitement as the graphical skills of these mini notebooks are not very compelling. But as soon as you have the chance to watch or play a game like Tower Bloxx Deluxe on a netbook device you should change your opinion fast as it was quite convincing what Henric Suuronen of Digital Chocolate showed us during Mobile World Congress. Or in one single word: Wow!
On the second day of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona we met Katia Martí from Fluendo who is responsible for marketing and PR. Katia had Fluendo DVD Player on her netbook and a DVD movie in the external optical device which had been connected to each other.
During today's first day at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Nokia and Intel disclosed their common secret called MeeGo. So both company's Linux distributions Maemo (Nokia) and Moblin (Intel) will become a joined Linux platform. The idea behind MeeGo is quite simple: instead of cooking two separated soups Intel and Nokia concentrate on one common platform and try to push out something bigger.
When you are traveling to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona for the first time, there are several things you can do there. You can enjoy the beach and the sun, if you got enough time to do so. Or you have a coffee in one of the famous outdoor cafés of famous Ramblas.
