SONAR* is Cakewalk's technology-leading digital audio workstation and runs natively on Intel® Core™ platforms. SONAR's processing of audio buffers for mixing and DSP as well as various data and bit depth conversions was updated to use Intel® AVX.

    If you can't see it...is it really there?  Yep, in fact, without great audio to give us a cue (and a clue) a lot of great graphics would go unnoticed - or at least, unannounced.  The truth is that sound enhances just about everything we look at - and certainly a first-person shooter without audio would not only be...well...weird, I believe it would actually be much harder to play.
