I am taking a second course in assembly programming, I am already fairly proficient in C, and would like to try my hand at a real world program in assembly.
I would like to write a linux driver for the Intel WiFiLink 5100 wireless card (half mini PCI-E). The reason for my choice is that Linux is my main OS and the current linux driver for the card is problematic.

I want to install Intel C OpenMP Compiler and also want to install Intel thread analyzer for detecting data race condition. What are the steps I need to follow for that? I want to use it for 3 months.
Also, can I know where intel thread checker do not detect race condition?

I am a senior high school student who intends to get a BA in Computer Science. I finalized my decision to get this degree last night so I have quite a few questions.
