Recently I came across Intel Perceptual Computing SDK and thought to give it a try, however it seems it didn't like me in it's very initial stage.
I tried three (3) of the sample programs out of which only 1 worked. I am not able to rectify the error and thus need your help on this.

Like I mentioned in the title I'm trying to utilise depth sensor for face recognition, but I fear that quality of the sensor is not really up to the par with the task. On the attached picture one face in the depth map is actually very crisp and is almost recognisable, whereas another one is just one smooth blob. What can this depend on - lighting, distance from the sensor or anything else? Is there anything I can do to mitigate the quality issue?
Does SDK support Swipe and Pitch Zoom-In/Out Gestures?
I guess SDK support swipe left and right, how about swipe up and down?
Does SDK support C++ programming for Windows 8 Modern UI?

In order to demonstrate the prototype app on a colleague's PC, I installed the runtime library (taken from the SDK) on his machine. This however, does not seem to be sufficient to run a Perc.Comp powered application at all as it quits immediately whenever the program is executed. According to the pop up error message shown by our prototype program, the modules in the PerC Sdk failed to load for some reasons.
Today in the Intel keynote Computex 2013, Intel shows the Intel perceptual camera, again.
But according to some website, it is a upgraded version?
I am curious whether it is the same version on the stage or it is a new upgraded version?

I've installed the Intel Perceptual Computing SDK 2013 and it successfully installed DFusion Studio CV-INTEL PCSDK on my windows 8 x64 system as a tile. On the desktop the application has no app logo (blank) on the icon and a shortcut is present. Clicking this opens the "How do you want to open this file" and gives me a list of surely unsupported open methods. I know my installation was complete. What could be the error and how do i fix this ? Also could someone direct me to sources to get started.

I am trying to work on a VM for Windows Azure that will take the developer tools as well as my demos there.One thing i want to as i will be accessing the VM from web how will the Intel perceptual SDK access the Creative Gesture Camera at different place at web? Will i have write a code that will virtually create and access the Creative Camere if both are in different Geographic Domains?I am currently competing in Windows Azure Developer Challenge and trying this.
Whatever grammar I declare I constantly receive an alert of the type speech unrecognizable including when I use your example in your documentation, with the words One, Two and Three.
Wondering if anyone has tried this yet - any luck?
