Intel Parallel Studio XE Demo at SIGGRAPH 2011
Dr. Mike McCool demonstrates Parallel Studio XE at SIGGRAPH 2011. The tools included in Parallel Studio XE are Advisor, Inspector, Amplifier and Composer. These tools are used to optimize and parallelize your applications using C/C++ and Fortran.
Composer includes a compiler that includes Cilk+ extenmsions that allows you to parallelize and vectorize code. Composer also includes Threaded Building Blocks and in the future it will include Array Building Blocks, both of these allow you to write parallel code at a high level.
Advisor suggests ways to write and improve your parallel code to get better performance.
Amplifier lets you run your code, and finds hotspots using profiling.
Inspector will find errors in your codes that will affect the performance of your program.
