VMware has been building capabilities into its solutions that enable enterprises to adopt internal and external Cloud topologies. The company's approach, in part, is to make the internal Cloud compatible with the external Cloud by adding security, automation, and scalability to enable multi-tenancy with potentially tens of thousands of hosts. In this video, Orran Krieger, vCloud* Architect at VMware, describes how VMware APIs will enable that parity between internal and external Clouds to exchange applications back and forth in a smooth utility model. VMware's joint enablement with Intel has helped applications deliver near-native performance under virtualization on Intel® platforms, a capability they are now extending to the Cloud.
