This video begins by providing an overview of SIMD-enabled functions with simple code snippet examples. It focuses primarily on using Intel® Cilk™ Plus for implementation but also describes equivalent OpenMP 4.0 implementations as well. The video explores modifying clauses such as uniform, linear, processor, and vectorlength which modify the default behavior of the construct. We explore ways to annotate the declaration/definition of functions as well as how to invoke simd-enabled functions.
