Intel® Thread Profiler - Where do I get a license file?
If you purchased the Intel® Threading Tools, Intel® Thread Checker or VTune™ Performance Analyzer on a CD, then Intel® Thread Profiler and its license is provided on its own CD in the box. The license for Thread Profiler is on the Thread Profiler CD in the top-most level folder. |
Performance Tools for Software Developers - ?License Expired? message received even though you have a valid license
After installing Intel® Thread Profiler for Windows* or Intel® Thread Checker for Windows*, when you try to run an Intel® VTune™ Performance Analyzer Wizard, you get a "License Expired" message; even though you have a valid license (e.g. just obtained an Evaluation license). To resolve this, click the drop-down box and choose Threading Wizards, and select an available wizard. Analyzer wizards refer to Intel VTune Performance Analyzer wizards, which are not covered by the Intel Thread Profiler or Intel Thread Checker license. |
Performance Tools for Software Developers - Differences between evaluation, non-commercial and release compilers
Evaluation versions of Intel® compilers available from the Intel® Evaluation Software Center are identical to Release compilers of the same version. Similarly, Intel compilers available as Non-commercial Linux* downloads are identical to Release compilers of the same version. |
