I recently purchased an HP DC7900 systemt that I plan on using as a Home PC, but am having trouble using the gigabit ethernet port as it is being configured by Intel AMT. So far I have tried to disable it in both the bios and Intel ME, but ipconfig still shows an IP assigned by AMT (i'm assuming). I have very little knowledge in vPro technology and would appreciate some help. The PC is currently running a freshly installed version of Windows 7 Premium (64 Bit). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Question about Intel AMT HLAPI and windows priviledges
Hi,
I'm developping a desktop application based on the Intel AMT HLAPI to be run in Windows 7.
The application needs to connect to AMT to make a FCFH request (connect or disconnect).
I've seen that it's mandatory to launch my application with administrator priviledges to allow it to get access to the HECI device across the HLAPI. ¿is it necessary?
I couldn't found nothing about it in the SDK or HLAPI documentation.
does anybody know?
Is starting an IDE-R session using a soap wsman call possible ?
I'm looking for a way to start an IDE-R session from a management console running on a Linux / Unix environment. The management console cannot access external machines on port 16994.
I can setup an ssh tunnel to the AMT machine but the local port 16994 cannot be used.
The management console can use port 16992/16993 and already uses that for the wsman soap interface to perform certain operations, and I would like to use the same for starting an IDE-R session.
IDE-R - Triggering a Remote ISO boot from a linux / java environment
Hi,
I just got started using Intel AMT, and have been playing around with the Java based WS-Management library.
I'm now trying to trigger a remote ISO boot. After browsing through the AMT SDK I found that IDE-R support is located in the Intel AMT Redirection Library
According to the docs : Provides an abstraction layer that implements “Serial over LAN” (SOL) and “IDE Redirection” (IDER), via a C language API.
I've found a couple of samples (mostly Microsoft C# / COM based) but I would like to trigger this from a non-microsoft environment
Web based AMT / KVM

Active redirection session and power off
Hi,
There is a limitation in AMT for power off /power cycle reset and details below
If there is an active redirection session (SOL, IDE-R or KVM), then an Intel AMT power cycle reset or a power off command will be rejected as invalid.
When i issue RequestPowerStateChange i'm getting error as 2(Unknown or Unspecified Error)
I would like to know how to check whether any SOL, IDE-R or KVM session is going on from remote system. I tried checking AMT_RedirectionService which has accesslog property but it has list of strings.
SOL data is not redirected
Hi,
I have AMT system booted to DOS mode(Command prompt - text data only). AMT version is 7.0
Now using Intel commander tool., connected to SOL using Remote Control -> Take control and connected to SOL mode It's showing blank screen only. Actually AMT system has dos command prompt Since it's a text screen it should get redirected, but not redirected text data. Anyone explain about this?
vPRO - Two-Stage Booting without a Restart?
Hey everyone,
I was wondering, is it possible to edit the two-stage booting in such a way that it won't restart the computer but try and boot it in whichever state the computer is currently at? Is that possible? At all?
Thanks,
Jose
