I started with Fortran in 1964 when I worked as a student programmer with IBM. After graduation and some time as a graduate student in Canada I used to be a scientist in a research institute of the Federal government in Germany. I am retired, but still enjoy working on geometric and graphic algorithms, GIS, cartography and rapid prototyping.
