Security is starting to make its presence felt with several new Intel® Avanced Encryption Standard - New Instructions (AES-NI) items including white paper: Securing the Enterprise with Intel® AES-NI, an AES-NI article that discusses this technology's origin and uses and describes each new instruction. Improving performance and increasing security at the same time is pretty efficient.
