AVSync Seek/Rewind/Fast Forward

I am using AVSync from IPP 6.0 to play back some MPEG-2 TS files that have been saved to disk. I would like to be able to seek, rewind and fastforward through these files. I see that fast forward can be achieved using trick mode using the UMC_TRICK_MODES_FORWARD flag. However, UMC_TRICK_MODES_REVERSE does not seem to have any effect on playback. Also, SetPosition does not do anything at all.

Is there any plans in the near future to implement these features? Any suggestions on how to go about implmenting them myself? Thanks,
