We recently experienced an issue with our Identity service in our production environment.  New accounts that were created between Wednesday Dec 5^th 7:00 a.m. PST to Thursday Dec 6th 11:00 a.m. PST, were unavailable from Thursday Dec 6th 11:00 a.m. to Friday December 7^th at 1:30 p.m. Full functionality was restored Friday December 7^th at 1:30 p.m. All services are running as expected.
