Today I've been trying to install the Parallel Studio XE 2013 SP1 Update 1 in a clean Windows 8.1 machine, but there's an error message that appears almost at the end of the installation that prevents it from being fully installed.
The error seems to be related to the Visual C++ Runtime installation of the VTune Amplifier, it happens when running msvcrt_x64.msi inside "installs/perfhe/installs". Attached to this post there is a zip containing two logs, a detailed one of that MSI execution a CBS log the first one refers to.
I am trying to install the Parallel Studio XE 2013 on a Linux server with CentOS. I understand that this operating system is not supported. I am using the install.sh script that came with the product. All the components install properly except for the MKL, which fails. This makes the entire installation fail. Is there something I need to do before the installation? How can I get this to install properly? Any help is appreciated!
I like to use from C++ a class which is coded in Fotran inside a modul. I haved tried to pass the pointer from Fortran to C++ and back again later. But this seems not to work, if calling virtual functions.

I installed parallel_studio_xe_2013_sp1_update1 that recently shipped (downloaded on 10/2013). I have MSVS Professional 2012 (Version 11.0.60610.01 Update 3) and MSVS Professional 2013 (Version 12.0.21005.1 REL) installed. I have an assertion system in my source code that eventually calls __debugbreak(). When this code is executed during a debug run, I get an error dialog: "The debugger's worker process (msvsmon.exe) unexpectedly exited. Debugging will be aborted." I dismiss the dialog and the program abnormally terminates, which it should not (I should get a call stack that led to th
If you use throw std::runtime_error anywhere inside a C++ program it brutally crashes the Visual Studio 2013 IDE without warning. When I first encountered the crash I uninstalled Windows 7 (64-bit with SP1) and upgraded to Windows 8.1 Enterprise (64-bit). Then I installed Visual Studio Ultimate 2013 (v12.0.21005 REL). I ran the program below with no problems and I thought that I had fixed the problem. However, when I installed Intel C++ Studio XE 2013 (included SP1 with update 1) the bug came back.
