Android* Applications on Intel® Architecture

picture gallery doesn't seem to work correct on the Android Intel Atom emulator (Android 2.3.3)

I am developing an app which, as part of its functionality, selects a picture from the picture gallery via Intents. The picture gallery shows up, but when I click on it to select a picture, it either doesn't respond or it restarts the picture gallery, or it goes into extended edit mode for the picture gallery (allowing you to delete picture, for example), but I am largely unable to simply select a picture.. I have actually spent a solid 20-30 minutes trying to select one picture unsuccessfully.

HAXM stops VirtualBox from working on OS X

The HAXM kext appears to grab the VT-X extensions and refuses to release it when unloaded. This means that Virtualbox fails when attmempting to run a guest OS. Virtualbox stops working when HAXM is installed and does not work again until the extension is unloaded and the machine is rebooted. While HAXM seems like an excellent solution to speed up Android emulation (although I have yet to acutally try it), I need Virtualbox more.

Performance Issues with Android Atom x86 with HAXM on OSX

I am running on OSX - I installed HAXM and am using the latest preview 3 of the Android tools v17. I created an AVD using the Intel Atom x86 system image. When I start the AVD, it says that it is using haxm: HAX is working and emulator runs in fast virt mode However, the application is still running very slow - about 3-4 fps. This is an OpenGL application. It seems that it is still not using the GPU for the OpenGL calls. Should it be?

Android version in IA32 phone and tablet

Hi What is the android version that intel is going to use for phone release this year? Ice-cream sandwich or earlier version? Ice-cream sandwich provides better GUI that works on both phones and tablets. I am reluctant to develop apps that compatible on earlier Android version. Fragment and ActionBar APIs are cool. Thanks!
