Petter Larsson's white paper "Muxing with Intel Media Software Development Kit" is available for download.

Abstract: This article presents a method that can be used to perform muxing of encoded media generated by Intel Media SDK. The article details how to use audio/video codec components part of Intel Integrated Performance Primitives (Intel IPP) samples to create a muxing solution based on the Intel Media SDK sample_encode project.

As always, we are interested in your feedback. We're looking forward to providing more content on Intel Media SDK interoperability, including demux,in the future.

The paper explains how to use Media SDK 2012 to develop applications in the context of video conferencing and streaming.

It is a great SDK for high performace video solutions! I really would like to cover up the application with some xaml and c# for best UI experiences designed with MS Expression Blend 4. I wonder if You could provide some managed wrapping solutions or guidelines in order to use the low level Intel Media SDK.We are interested in Intelvideo conferencing and streaming examples! Thank You, Robert Banegas

Please refer to the Media SDK FAQ on this forum for more details about the SDK and the supported codecs. http://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/showthread.php?t=68039&o=a&s=lr For further information about the SDK and to download the package please go here: http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/vcsource-tools-media-sdk/ Since both of you seem to have an interest in video conferencing or streaming I also suggest checking out this white paper: http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/video-conferencing-features-of-intel-media-software-development-kit/

The Intel Media SDK package comes with a range of samples, including a video conferencing sample and set of sample DShow filters that can be used to quickly prototype camera input workloads.

The SDK does not provide any wrapper for managed solutions to like for instance C#, but this interface can be built by developer using for instance the PInvoke construct. We know of some developers that have pursued this path (there are some interactions on the topic on this forum).

Hi Christos,

Intel Media SDK is an SDK focusing on video codecs. I do not see any direct opportunity to integrate with such solution, but I say that without knowing any details about Twilio. That said, feel free to experiment with the SDK to explore how it could be used in your context. We would love to hear about innovative usages.

We are happy to announce availability of a new Intel Media SDK white paper. The title is:
"Integrating Intel® Media SDK with FFmpeg for mux/demuxing and audio encode/decode usages"

The white paper details how Intel Media SDK can be used together with the popular FFmpeg suite of components to perform container muxing and demuxing (splitting). Rudimentary integration of FFmpeg audio decode and encode is also showcased.

We just published a new article that we hope will be very useful for developers interested in using Intel Media SDK. The guide shows how to use the Intel Media SDK by walking step-by-step through use case examples from simple to increasingly more complex usages.
