Is there a call to find if a specific application is running?
I would like to send the application executable file file name and get a boolean true or false to say if it is running - or something like that!

Just posted this also to test posting links to other forum messages. It seems that in the url, the "7" is needed ("www7"), at least right now. Steve, (if you read this) do you think this is a replication thing (the message hasn't replicated) or are a messages on www7.compaq.com?

You need the www7 - it is an actual server name and not a replicator.
