A few hours ago, I released a pretty nice improvement to Meshcentral.com, much improved Intel AMT Hardware KVM support. If you happen to manage computers with Intel AMT 6.0 or above with the right CPU and no added graphics card, you have a remote desktop server built right into your computer's hardware. It's basicaly a VNC server.
Last night I released a new version of the OpenDTK v1.13. For people using Commander often, you will notice the auto-update system will pop-up on it's own. In this version, I added support for performing hardware KVM sessions using any VNC client to the Intel AMT redirection port.
Using X services on the Intel(R) Manycore Testing Lab is unsupported, yet possible. This article demonstrates in general and in detail the four necessary steps to run X on the server:
1) Make a standard, character-based connection
2) Run the required software on the server
3) Run your secure PCX server software
4) Make the connection
Two secure PCX server solutions are discussed.
