  • О маленьких и прибыльных помощниках

В августе этого года журнал Wired опубликовал большую интересную статью под названием The Web Is Dead. Long Live Internet.

Wa hoo! The party comes to the realm of Very Small Things with Brains

I honestly get very excited about embedded systems. Why?

    • The realm of Very Small Things with Brains is being charged with all of the power of threading, 32 bit and 64 bit computing and the Internet. This is opening up a lot of new capabilities in simple devices.

    • Open Source has broken down many of the barriers to embedded software development. You no longer need an expensive, proprietary real time OS to deliver interesting capabilities.

Started work on OpenID / OpenSocial support

We are hard at work building new features of the MeshCentral web site. In the last week, we started work on two more features that are high on the list. First, OpenID. It's insane to think that web users will create one more account in MeshCentral to manage a few computers when they already have web accounts all over the place.

Discovering JQuery for web based authoring

Ok, so maybe I am the last web developer on earth to discover JQuery. I have to say, I am impressed with this little library. A few months ago, James, a rotation engineer at Intel worked for my group at Intel and introduced me to JQuery for doing AJAX calls. I used it a lot last month when building the Javascript VT100 terminal. This last week, I make use of JQuery again in a completely different way.

New Mesh Agent with Windows Prompt Fix

Tonight I just released a new version of the Mesh Agent in the wild. Version v0.0.91 has a few more bug fixes but the most noticeable one is working access to the Windows Command Prompt from within the MeshCentral web site. This makes use of the Javascript VT100 terminal that I have been working on a few weeks ago.

    Who are Your Trust Agents?

Have you read “Trust Agents” by Chris Brogan and Julien Smith? If not you might want to get a copy. If you are a social media practitioner in general or an online community manager specifically as I am, you already are one or you’re working very hard to become a Trust Agent.  (Incidentally, Brogan and Smith are experts of all things social media and each is a must on your  Twitter Follow list : @chrisbrogan, @julien.)
