Hello Arb,
I was also in the situation already where I wanted to cancel a submission in progress. It's really bad that there is no easy and fast way for it.
The only way I know is to write the validation team with their contact form:
http://appdeveloper.intel.com/en-us/contact
Normally they react within one business day afterwards.
