Is Intel MPI compatible with Windows 8 (win8)? We've done some basic testing and mpiexec appears to hang when trying the CreateProcess.

Hi Ben,
We do not currently support using the Intel® MPI Library on Windows* 8. I don't know if any tests have been done at this time.

It turns out this is a non-issue. We were assuming that running "smpd -install" was sufficient in getting things working (as it has proven to be on other Windows based OSs). Once we ran the Intel MPI Runtime installer it works fine. We have confirmed that it works that way on a fresh Windows 8 VM image too.
