Starting with Release 6.0, Intel AMT includes two additional methods for deleting wireless profiles:
• AMT_WiFiPortConfigurationService.DeleteAllITProfiles
• AMT_WiFiPortConfigurationService.DeleteAllUserProfiles
IT, or Admin, profiles are those added using the Intel AMT API. User profiles are created by the PC user on the host system or are defined there by an IT script or installation procedure. When a user takes an action to synchronize the current profile with Intel AMT, the wireless driver transfers the profile and Intel AMT saves it as a user profile.
When an action occurs that would stop the host wireless driver (for example, disabling the driver or putting the host into a sleep state), or when adding a new profile, a pop-up appears (generated by either Intel® PROSet or the Intel® Management and Security Status application - IMSS) giving the user an opportunity to synchronize the currently active profile with Intel AMT. After the controlled shutdown of the driver completes, Intel AMT can maintain the link using the settings of the user profile.
The accumulated user or IT/admin profiles can be deleted with the methods described above. If a profile is currently active, it cannot be deleted.
