For over two decades, Intel’s contributions to the Linux* kernel and leadership role in the open-source movement have helped establish Linux as a worldwide contender in the operating system realm, appearing everywhere from enterprise server farms to personal Ultrabook™ devices. Today, we are second only to Red Hat in our contributions, with one of the largest delegations to the invitation-only Linux Kernel Summit. Through a very broad base of open-source projects, Intel contributes directly and indirectly to improve the performance, stability, and efficiency of Linux for servers, desktops, mobile, and embedded systems. In addition, we collaborate with many open-source vendors, helping to build a vibrant ecosystem and to develop advanced technologies that will spark innovation.
