In two weeks at IDF, Ct folks will be on hand in the Intel booth and Intel Ct technology session to talk with you about Ct. You can expect to learn about the challenges of parallelizing software, when to choose productivity over performance, and what benefit Ct technology can bring to your applications.

In addition to Intel Ct team members being on hand for the session above, we will be at IDF to meet people interested in Ct technology. We’ll also unveil more details about our product plans, show some demos, and provide information on signing up for the beta program (which will begin by the end of the year).

By now, you have probably learned that Intel acquired the RapidMind products and technology. RapidMind had already proved itself with its advanced technology for helping software developers with their data parallel programming needs. Their joining Intel will help us provide you, our customers, with the very best solutions for data parallelism industry-wide. In future newsletters, we will address our plans with RapidMind in more detail.

This month, you may also have seen our Ct technology architect, Anwar Ghuloum’s, penning in ACM "Viewpoints" entitled "Face the Inevitable, Embrace Parallelism" in the September 2009 issue of Communications of the ACM.

In our next newsletter, we’ll provide you with an SC 2009 update including some exciting news about our SC 2009 Birds of a Feather plans. We hope you will join us both at IDF and SC 2009. And, in case you missed our previous newsletter on the Intel Data Parallel website, you can find it here: Intel Ct Newsletter.

For more information about Ct, visit the Intel Data Parallel website, encourage your colleagues to sign up for our newsletter, and of course, feel free to drop us an email at grp_data_parallel@intel.com.
