Intel® VTune™ Amplifier provides the following options to run performance analysis:
Run analysis using the graphical interface
Run analysis using the command line interface
Run analysis remotely using the command line interface
You may program hot keys to start/stop a particular analysis. For more details, see http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/using-hot-keys-in-vtune-amplifier-xe/.
When you choose an analysis type and run analysis, the Intel® VTune™ Amplifier :
Executes the target and collects performance data.
Finalizes the analysis result.
Collects result data in a *.amplxe file.
