Intel® C++ Compiler XE 13.1 User and Reference Guides
The Intel® C++ Compiler comes bundled with several Intel® Performance Libraries. To access these libraries in Eclipse*, use the following property pages, located in the Intel® C++ compiler Performance Library Build Components category:
Use Intel® Integrated Performance Primitives Libraries (Intel® IPP)
Use Intel® Math Kernel Library (Intel® MKL)
Use Intel® Threading Building Blocks Library (Intel® TBB)
The Use Intel Threading Building Blocks on the Property page allows enabling the library and bringing in the associated headers.
The Use Intel Integrated Performance Primitives on the Property page provides the following options in a drop-down menu:
None: to disable use of Intel® IPP.
Use main libraries set: to use all libraries except Cryptography libraries.
Use main libraries and cryptography library: to use Cryptography libraries and main libraries.
Use non-pic version of libraries: to use the non-pic version of the main libraries.
Use cryptography library and non-pic version of libraries: to use Cryptography libraries and the non-pic version of the main libraries.
The Cryptography libraries are subject to export laws.
The Use Intel® Math Kernel Library property page provides the following options in a drop-down menu:
None, to disable use of Intel® Math Kernel Library
Use threaded Intel® Math Kernel Library., to link using the threaded version of the library.
Use non-threaded Intel® Math Kernel Library., to link using the non-threaded version of the library.
Use Intel® MKL Cluster and sequential Intel® MKL libraries, to link using Intel® MKL Cluster libraries and the sequential Intel® MKL libraries

Intel's compilers may or may not optimize to the same degree for non-Intel microprocessors for optimizations that are not unique to Intel microprocessors. These optimizations include SSE2, SSE3, and SSSE3 instruction sets and other optimizations.
