Enabling hospitals and their affiliated physicians to stay connected

Hospitals and IDNs are increasingly looking for new ways to stay connected with their affiliated physicians to enable sharing of health information, streamline the referrals process, and provide seamless access to hospital, lab, PBMs and payer networks. Both hospitals and their affiliated physicians really get excited about the idea of having a consolidated view of patient information and a more integrated workflow, as it is an enabler for increased efficiency, reduced errors and improved outcomes.

Peeling back the onion of health data interoperability

Data interoperability is vital to today’s healthcare computing environment, allowing clinical information to be effectively and consistently exchanged, compared, and analyzed among healthcare partners such as insurers, pharmacies, affiliated providers, and public health departments. Put simply, data interoperability enables better decision making.

UMPC盛会－INTEL IDF 2008走马观花

几周前，INTEL的IDF 2008在旧金山闭幕了。上面展出了很多将出和已出的UMPC款式。让我们跟着摄影师的视野去看看一些新东东吧。从拍摄者的观感来看，此次INTEL IDF2008上最大的亮点该是2个。1个是软件。INTEL与很多ISV合作开发了不少的软件。MMM.其实应该说是支持他们开发。也应该的啦，最后的受益者其实不也是INTEL吗。当初PDA起来不也是因为软件吗。比如GYPSII，这是1款支持GPS的SNS ，还有FRING（一款IM软件） 还有ADOBE 以及MOVE NETWORKS灯。据说目前已经有60个ISV在和INTEL合作了。

而另外个2点应该让我们高兴。就是INTEL似乎越来越重视亚洲市场。其实只要看看以前的掌设类销售，最火的都是亚洲。就不应该对INTEL决定吃惊了。是不是有点小自豪？

这次展会上没有什么新闻。只听说视频硬解码不会出现在下一款芯片中。还有个消息就是据说年底为止会有20个厂家发布它们各自的MID。

好了废话有点多了。我们先来看看图吧。

Had an interesting conversation today in a meeting with some of Intel's web marketing folks - the people who run blogs.intel.com/mobility, to be precise. We were talking about who actually had hands on experience with a "MID", and that quickly moved on to the question of defining what, exactly, a MID is. And perhaps more importantly, what it is not.

Last year, Conan O'Brien visited Intel's offices in Santa Clara, California. He was, uh, not impressed by the endless maze of gray fabric cubicles, accented by gray walls and gray carpet. You can watch his bit on YouTube here (apparently NBC made YouTube pull the clip, so here it is from Clipstr - oops, not on Clipstr any more either.) It's pretty funny, and yes, it is an accurate depiction of life at Intel.

Долго не получалось написать микро-отчет о семинаре. В целом он прошел на высоком уровне. Слушателей пришло даже больше, чем мы планировали. Оценки и мнения аудитории свидетельствуют о том, что для подавляющего большинства нашлась полезная информация. Конечно, на подобных конферецниях не получается угодить всем на 100% - каждый человек преследует свои цели. Кому-то интересны глубокие технические детали, а кого-то больше интересуют бизнес-новости, объемы продаж и т.п. Именно поэтому хочется предложить:
