Conventional memory copying methods can yield very poor performance when data is in "uncacheable" memory, as when video decode is being done with hardware acceleration. This paper explains useful data copy optimizations for video decode operations.

    За последние три года перечень цифровой техники, сопровождающей меня в командировках, обновился радикально. Ноутбук поменялся три раза, телефон – уж и не вспомню сколько, а прошлой осенью компанию этой паре стал регулярно составлять планшетный ПК.     Google announced earlier this week that Chrome will not support the h.264 codec and I read a lot of comments ranging from how “closed” Google is, demise of Chrome to roadblock for HTML5. I honestly do not understand why this is such a big deal. Apple does not support Flash on the iPhone or iPad, people have found ways to live with that.

    Its been a while since I had the opportunity to sit down and get a message out to everyone. Its been a heck of a summer. On the personal side, I've been building a house for the last 8 months and its finally done enough to move in. I have a new appreciation for air conditioning. Nor Cal 105 degree summers were melting my keyboards.
