HDMI: notfication of external screen connection ?

Hello,

I know there is no standard API in Android SDK to "manage" external
screen and HDMI connection as not many android devices have HDMI.

Did someone know if Intel provide some kind of "extension" to manage HDMI on
Intel Android devices ? For example to be notified when an external
screen is connected to the device ?

Thanks.

The company today unveiled the first smartphone to be built on its own platform, the Changhong H5018. And while that device is designed on a forked version of Android - forked Android devices being very popular in China - Baidu says that it doesnt want to stop there: the idea is to take its platform, the Baidu Cloud Smart Terminal, to other operating systems like Windows Phone and iOS.

Elementary programming vs Application Development Kit

Hello I would like to pose a question that which amongst these two is better elementary app programming or devloping applications via development kit which bypasses the tedious programming route and gives you a finished product? Will there be any performance difference in the two programs, will one of them lag, or contain bugs that need troubleshooting as patches or updates?
