When too many license files are present on a system, Intel Software Products may suffer from slow license checks. These checks can bog the application down, leading to, for instance, slow compilation times. Additionally, it may not always be clear which license files can be safely removed to alleviate this issue. The Intel Software License Cleanup Utility identifies the unneeded license files and can be used to automatically remove them from the system.
On Windows*, enter the following on an administrator command prompt.
cd <INSTALL_DIR> islcleanup.exe -a
On Linux*, enter the following on the command line. <ARCH> will be either pack_i686 or pack_x86_64 depending on whether your system is 32-bit or 64-bit, respectively.
cd <INSTALL_DIR>\<ARCH> .\islcleanup -a
Note: The -a option enables automatic removal. If you would prefer to manually control which licenses are removed, use -i instead. If you wish to see a report without removing any licenses, use the -r option.
System Requirements and other information can be found in the Release Notes. To view the release notes, Adobe* Reader* or another compatible PDF viewer is required.
