Training

Start your journey into game development and graphics profiling with this wide range of tutorials, quick tips, and recorded training material.

Capture Location

Alter the default folder location for captures in Graphics Monitor. This location points to the captures that open in Graphics Frame Analyzer or Graphics Trace Analyzer for additional profiling.

Capture Triggers

Use custom trigger enhancements in Graphics Monitor to invoke a frame or trace capture when user specified conditions have been met.

Diff Mode

Use Diff Mode in Graphics Frame Analyzer to display the differences between the current render target with modifications and the original render target. This facilitates your ability to gauge the visual quality versus performance tradeoff caused by the applied experiments.

Key Bindings

Modify keyboard shortcuts in Graphics Monitor to avoid conflicts that arise when your application has the same key-bindings as the tool. In the case of conflict, your application will take precedence.

Keyframes

Apply keyframe functionality in Graphics Monitor to create restore points in a multiframe stream capture allowing for faster playback time during profiling.

Multiframe Analysis

Perform a stream capture in Graphics Monitor, and then perform further analysis in the multiframe  profiling view of Graphics Frame Analyzer. This allows for visualization on a frame-by-frame basis.

Pause Mode

Use Pause Mode in System Analyzer, allowing for additional investigation of your application over a specified time interval, in minutes.

Screenshots

Take screenshots while performing a multiframe stream capture in Graphics Monitor. This provides thumbnails that aid in stream capture navigation while investigating your application in the multiframe profiling view of Graphics Frame Analyzer.

Shader Profiler

In Graphics Frame Analyzer, use Shader Profiler for more efficient shader optimization. Identify the most expensive calls by providing access to shader execution latency on Intel GPUs.

UI Modifications

Employ user interface, scale, and theme modifications in Intel® GPA tools.

Target a Graphics Card on a Multi-GPU System

See a demonstration of the Graphics Frame Analyzer selection window that shows how to target a specific graphics card on a multi-GPU system. This feature also targets a remote system for frame analysis.

Identify Resource Use in a Frame

Learn how the Resource History (part of the Graphics Frame Analyzer feature) shows you resource dependencies for each call within a frame.

Part 1: Configure and Capture Trace

Explore fundamental trace capture capabilities in Graphics Monitor. These capabilities aid in the configuration of various performance data, which are available for graphics application analysis trace files in Graphics Trace Analyzer.

Part 2: Open and Explore Trace

Open and explore a trace captured from a graphics application. This video highlights user interface features in Graphics Trace Analyzer to pinpoint CPU and GPU activity.

Part 3: Configure Custom Layouts

Configure your Graphics Trace Analyzer view to the layout that best suits your use case. Alter track colors, add or remove tracks, and reorganize track positions.

Part 4: Data Selection and Event Summary Insights

Take a closer look at analyzing selected events in Graphics Trace Analyzer to profile and pinpoint performance regressions in your application. Begin with a high-level overview, and then analyze your data in depth using the advanced data selection and analysis features.
