Intel® MKL may stall on systems with 32 cores or more

Problem Description
An internal threading routine in the Intel Math Kernel Library (Intel® MKL) can hang if it detects 32 cores or more as reported by the operating system. This includes systems with 16 or more cores with HT turned on.

Resolution Status

Intel MKL 10.2 Update 5 fixes this problem.
A workaround for users of an affected version is to link to the sequential version of Intel MKL. See the link line advisor tool for more information.
