Overview

  • FlexNet Publisher* (FNP) 11.16.4
  • Supported Platforms:
    • Windows* 32-bit/Intel® 64 - Windows 10, Server 2012 & 2012 R2, and Windows Server 2016
    • Linux* 32-bit - minimum requirements: LSB 4.0, GLIBC-2.12 and Kernel 2.6.32 (RHEL 6 and 7, SLES 11 SP4 and 12 SP3)
    • Intel® 64 - minimum requirements: LSB 4.0, GLIBC-2.12 and Kernel 2.6.32 (RHEL 6 and 7, SLES 11 SP4, SLES 12 SP3, and SLES 15, Ubuntu 16.04, 18.04 and 18.10, CentOs 6 and 7, Debian 8 and 9, Fedora 25 and 26)
  • NOTE: This version is required for Intel® Parallel Studio XE 2020 and its components.

Known Issues

  • The ISLM installer will not detect whether Linux LSB (Linux Standard Base) 4.0 is installed on the license manager host system. The user MUST ensure LSB 4.0 is installed before installing the license manager. To check for LSB installed on your system, please run the command: "$ lsb_release -a"
    • If you have old LSB version installed, please update to the LSB 4.0 or later before installing Intel Software License Manager version 2.10.0.
    • If there is an LSB compatibility issue, the Flexera license manager might not start immediately after the installer has finished. Please run the following command to start the license manager: "$ lmgrd -c /opt/intel/serverlicenses/.lic"
    • To detect whether lmgrd is running, use the command: "$ lmstat"

    • Issue requiring the setting of INTEL_NO_CONNECTION_CHECK during product installation is fixed for Intel® Parallel Studio XE Release 2019 Update 4. Versions of Intel Parallel Studio XE prior to 2019 update 4 may still require this environment variable to be set.

Known Issues

  • Support for the BORROW feature has been temporarily removed. If you have problems using the BORROW feature, please contact support.

    • Latest patch includes a fix for the Windows installer in the initial 2.7 release, and no longer requires Visual C++ redistributables to be installed.

Known Issues

  • The initial release of version 2.7.0.007 of the Intel Software License Manager fails to install on Windows in some cases. This is due to a missing Microsoft* DLL needed to extract the msi file. Included in the error log is: "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run." and "error code: 1603"
    This issue has been fixed in the latest patched version 2.7.1.014 available from the Intel Registration Center.

    • Improved error messaging on Finish screen in the installer
    • Added an error message if the HostID is invalid but the hostname is valid

Known Issues

  • Installer incorrectly reports an invalid license when checking the connection to the license manager.  Try setting environment variable INTEL_NO_CONNECTION_CHECK=1 to fix the problem.
  • Installer reports an invalid license if the hostname in the license file does not contain the value returned by the hostname OS command.  More information here.
  • In Windows*, the license manager may fail if the INTEL service is unable to write the log file due to lack of permissions. More information here.
