Specifies a target for called functions or variables.

Specifies the target name. Possible values are:

This keyword specifies that the called function or variable is also available on the target. Only functions or variables marked with this attribute are available on the target, and only these functions can be called on the target.

Intel's compilers may or may not optimize to the same degree for non-Intel microprocessors for optimizations that are not unique to Intel microprocessors. These optimizations include SSE2, SSE3, and SSSE3 instruction sets and other optimizations.
