Tells the compiler to optimize across multiple files and generate a single object file.
Linux and macOS:
- The compiler does not generate a multifile object file.
This option tells the compiler to optimize across multiple files and generate a single object file (named ipo_out.o on Linux* and
systems; ipo_out.obj on Windows* systems).
It performs the same optimizations as the
[Q]ipooption, but compilation stops before the final link stage, leaving an optimized object file that can be used in further link steps.
