This option prevents the compiler from using standard libraries and startup files when linking.
On Linux* systems, it is provided for GNU compatibility.
This option is not related to option
-stdlib
.

Intel's compilers may or may not optimize to the same degree for non-Intel microprocessors for optimizations that are not unique to Intel microprocessors.
