Using Property Pages

The Intel® C++ Compiler integration with Microsoft Visual Studio* includes support for Property Pages to manage both Intel-specific and general compiler options.
To set compiler options in Microsoft Visual Studio*:
  1. Right-click on a project or source file in the
    Solution Explorer
  2. Select
    from the pop-up menu.
  3. In the
    Property Pages
    dialog box, expand the
    section to view the categories of compiler options.
  4. Select a category, then change the compiler options on the corresponding Property Page in the right-hand pane. Some categories contain Intel-specific properties; these categories are marked with
    [Intel C++]
    . For example, there is a
    Code Generation
    Code Generation [Intel C++]
    category. The latter contains properties specific to the Intel® C++ Compiler.
  5. Click
    to complete your selection.
The option you selected is used in the compilation the next time you build your project.

Product and Performance Information

Intel's compilers may or may not optimize to the same degree for non-Intel microprocessors for optimizations that are not unique to Intel microprocessors. These optimizations include SSE2, SSE3, and SSSE3 instruction sets and other optimizations. Intel does not guarantee the availability, functionality, or effectiveness of any optimization on microprocessors not manufactured by Intel. Microprocessor-dependent optimizations in this product are intended for use with Intel microprocessors. Certain optimizations not specific to Intel microarchitecture are reserved for Intel microprocessors. Please refer to the applicable product User and Reference Guides for more information regarding the specific instruction sets covered by this notice.
