Specifying Assembly Files

You can use the
/Fa
option (Windows*)
or
-S
and
-o
options (Linux*

to specify an alternate name for an assembly file. The compiler generates an assembly file named
myasm.asm

Intel's compilers may or may not optimize to the same degree for non-Intel microprocessors for optimizations that are not unique to Intel microprocessors.
