Trusted Application Life Cycle

Following are some details on the expected behavior of the Intel® DAL TEE in CSE platforms and rules specifying when
installJTA
and open session need to be called:
  • Install Java* Trusted Application (JTA) is persistent until uninstall; this means that it survives power state transitions (S0-Sx, S0-G5).
Note:
Some security-related metadata is stored persistently even after the JTA has been uninstalled.
  • JTA must be installed before you can open a session.
  • Open session:
    • Survives S0 –>S0ix-Connected standby power state (the host application does not need to open a new session to the trusted application when the platform resumes).
    • Does not
survive S0 –>Sx standby power state (the host application needs to open a new session to the trusted application when the platform resumes).

Product and Performance Information

Intel's compilers may or may not optimize to the same degree for non-Intel microprocessors for optimizations that are not unique to Intel microprocessors. These optimizations include SSE2, SSE3, and SSSE3 instruction sets and other optimizations. Intel does not guarantee the availability, functionality, or effectiveness of any optimization on microprocessors not manufactured by Intel. Microprocessor-dependent optimizations in this product are intended for use with Intel microprocessors. Certain optimizations not specific to Intel microarchitecture are reserved for Intel microprocessors. Please refer to the applicable product User and Reference Guides for more information regarding the specific instruction sets covered by this notice.
