Configuring
Intel Parallel Studio XE Cluster Edition
Installation Options

Intel® Parallel Studio XE Cluster Edition
supports both Microsoft Windows* and Linux* OS cluster environments.
Intel Parallel Studio XE Cluster Edition
ships both command-line and GUI interfaces for the tools.
The default installation path is below
C:\Program Files (x86)\IntelSWTools\
(on certain systems, the directory is
Program Files
).
For
Intel® oneAPI HPC Toolkit
or
Intel® oneAPI IoT Toolkit
installations on Windows*, the default installation path is below
C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\oneAPI\
.
The per-user Hardware Event-based Sampling mode is not available on the Windows operating system at the moment.
Once installed, the user can use the respective
-vars.
bat
files to set up the appropriate environment (PATH, MANPATH) in the current terminal session. The tools capabilities are the same for Windows* and Linux* OS unless explicitly noted and described.

Intel's compilers may or may not optimize to the same degree for non-Intel microprocessors for optimizations that are not unique to Intel microprocessors. These optimizations include SSE2, SSE3, and SSSE3 instruction sets and other optimizations. Intel does not guarantee the availability, functionality, or effectiveness of any optimization on microprocessors not manufactured by Intel. Microprocessor-dependent optimizations in this product are intended for use with Intel microprocessors. Certain optimizations not specific to Intel microarchitecture are reserved for Intel microprocessors. Please refer to the applicable product User and Reference Guides for more information regarding the specific instruction sets covered by this notice.
