Expansion Board Standoffs

Installing standoffs at the expansion board mounting locations will help protect components on the bottom side of the board.
  1. Insert the first metal screw through one of the holes on the corners of the development platform, so that the thread dangles down towards the bottom of the board.
  2. Screw one of the plastic spacers onto the screw to create a stable "leg" for the development platform to sit on.
  3. Repeat this process for the three remaining spacers. Your development platform can now sit on these spacers, elevated a short distance above the surface that it is sitting on.

Product and Performance Information

Intel's compilers may or may not optimize to the same degree for non-Intel microprocessors for optimizations that are not unique to Intel microprocessors. These optimizations include SSE2, SSE3, and SSSE3 instruction sets and other optimizations. Intel does not guarantee the availability, functionality, or effectiveness of any optimization on microprocessors not manufactured by Intel. Microprocessor-dependent optimizations in this product are intended for use with Intel microprocessors. Certain optimizations not specific to Intel microarchitecture are reserved for Intel microprocessors. Please refer to the applicable product User and Reference Guides for more information regarding the specific instruction sets covered by this notice.
