HDMI Display and Graphics

The HDMI connector on the Intel® Joule™ development kit expansion board can support monitor resolutions up to 4096x2160 @ 24Hz, including HDMI audio, by implementing an active redriver and level translation device. See the HDMI - High Definition Multimedia Interface in the Design Guide for more information.
The Intel® Joule™ module supports HDMI Hot Plug detection when the system is in the fully active state (S0).
Graphics are handled by a pipeline-based multimedia framework, called GStreamer, linking a wide variety of media processing systems into complex workflows.
: Certain modes may require different BIOS settings as they generate higher workloads and more thermal dissipation is needed. See the active fan-sink solution when running large workloads for extended durations.
HDCP Support
HDCP is not supported in Ref-OS-IoT. The operating system will not prevent presentation of copyright content.

Product and Performance Information

Intel's compilers may or may not optimize to the same degree for non-Intel microprocessors for optimizations that are not unique to Intel microprocessors. These optimizations include SSE2, SSE3, and SSSE3 instruction sets and other optimizations. Intel does not guarantee the availability, functionality, or effectiveness of any optimization on microprocessors not manufactured by Intel. Microprocessor-dependent optimizations in this product are intended for use with Intel microprocessors. Certain optimizations not specific to Intel microarchitecture are reserved for Intel microprocessors. Please refer to the applicable product User and Reference Guides for more information regarding the specific instruction sets covered by this notice.
