Data Fitting Function Naming Conventions

The interface of the Data Fitting functions, types, and constants are case-sensitive and can be in lowercase, uppercase, and mixed case.
The names of all routines have the following structure:
df
[
datatype
]<
base_name
>
where
  • df
is a prefix indicating that the routine belongs to the Data Fitting component of
    Intel® MKL
    .
  • [
    datatype
    ]
field specifies the type of the input and/or output data and can be
    s
(for the single precision real type),
    d
(for the double precision real type), or
    i
(for the integer type). This field is omitted in the names of the routines that are not data type dependent.
  • <
    base_name
    >
field specifies the functionality the routine performs. For example, this field can be
    NewTask1D
    ,
    Interpolate1D
    , or
    DeleteTask

Product and Performance Information

Intel's compilers may or may not optimize to the same degree for non-Intel microprocessors for optimizations that are not unique to Intel microprocessors. These optimizations include SSE2, SSE3, and SSSE3 instruction sets and other optimizations. Intel does not guarantee the availability, functionality, or effectiveness of any optimization on microprocessors not manufactured by Intel. Microprocessor-dependent optimizations in this product are intended for use with Intel microprocessors. Certain optimizations not specific to Intel microarchitecture are reserved for Intel microprocessors. Please refer to the applicable product User and Reference Guides for more information regarding the specific instruction sets covered by this notice.
